First impression right out the box was the lightweight feel of the stroller compared to the usual heavy strollers we are used to seeing.

The Parent Test

The Joie Pact™ Pro is a great compact stroller for any family that needs a space-saving option for transporting their little one. Features such as a lightweight frame, easy one button fold and open, and storage bag with strap are just a few qualities that make this stroller popular for busy families on the go. Personally, for me, it was also ideal for bus travel when needing to do a quick fold and store away when boarding.

Ease of Use

Once assembled, this stroller is very easy to use and store away. The one button fold and open makes using the stroller easy when carrying your child or when you have your hands full and need to quickly open the pram to use. This stroller is also perfect for errands, holidays, and parks/events when you are in rush or need a less bulky option when attending a crowded place or event and need to get around easily. We took this stroller to the zoo over a very busy holiday weekend and it performed well.

Ease of Cleaning

The stroller has a nice wipeable fabric. Having a baby that does suffer from reflux from time to time, I found it to be very easy to quickly clean with a wipe on the go or with a hot/lightly soapy hand towel at home. The frame is also easily cleaned with a quick wipe to get rid of any outside elements such as dirt. It's overall easy to clean, however the tag on the fabric does say that it is handwash only.

Features

The Joie Pact™ Pro comes with many features that will suit many different situations that a family need. For instance, it comes with adapters to turn this into a travel system, making it a wonderful option for those with a newborn and prefer to use a carrycot or keep baby sleeping in car seat when out and about and need to transport their baby without waking up to transfer to stroller. It also comes with a rain cover for when needed, and lastly when folded in the carrier bag, makes for a great option for holiday travels, leaving room for more luggage in vehicle.

Safety Features

Overall, I feel that this stroller is a safe choice for anyone looking for a lightweight pram that doesn't sacrifice its durability. The 5-point harness keeps baby strapped in safely while laying down or fully upright and has 3 adjustable lengths perfect for any size baby. The one foot press break makes it very easy to stop and park the pram when needed. The chassis feels sturdy and the locking mechanism when you open the pram doesn't buckle. This to me is very important as I know I feel better that my baby is secure in this stroller and that it won’t just fold up while she's in it. I've seen other foldable prams buckle and fold too easily. The only reason why I'm rating a 9 and not a 10 is that because it's lightweight, I wouldn't hang a heavy nappy bag on it as it can pull the stroller down, so I do not recommend hanging anything on the hand-bar and to stick to using the storage.

Value for Money

For £200, this stroller exceeds expectations when needing a lightweight and compact stroller for on the go. As a family that likes to travel, this is perfect for our small car, and it leaves space for us for more bags and luggage versus our heavy pram that takes up most of the space. The only very minor downside is that the canopy stops short and doesn't provide as much cover from the sun/rain (see photos) and so I wish this was able to elongate as some of the other Joie prams do to protect baby from the elements which allowed us to manoeuvre the crowds with ease and not feel trapped or in other people's way when at the animal exhibits.

However, living in the lake district with rugged terrain the stroller's small wheels on the front does make it hard at times to move across rocky and uneven trails, and so my advice is to keep to smooth/developed pathways. That being said, it can still go off road a bit, but it is a little bit of a bumpy ride.

Storage + Portability

Compared to regular-sized heavy prams, this stroller is slender, so it doesn't take up much space in a compact home. When folded and packed away, it fits in a small car boot with enough room for other bags (see photos below with comparison to a regular sized stroller). Lastly, the storage bag with strap makes this stroller very portable that it can be picked up with one arm like a carrier bag for quick and easy movements for families on the go or just to carry up and down stairs.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Joie Pact™ Pro is a must-have for families that travel and are on the go a lot, or just need a space saving stroller solution for their home/car. The easy fold and storage bag with strap made it very easy to run out of the house in a hustle when needed. Our baby girl did enjoy having more space available to sit up and look out (see photos) and the ability to still recline all the way back for a nap. The arm bar was also great to clip on toys for baby to access and play while out and about.

My only feedback on how it could be improved would be to extend the canopy for better protection and, even though the wheels are a lot better than what I have seen on other compact strollers, the front two wheels still limit the terrain it works on a bit and so it would be great if it had interchangeable wheels (for pavement and rough terrain) to help suit all types of travel.
