First Impressions
I was relieved to see that minimal effort was required to assemble the rocker. The setup was relatively easy, with clear instructions that didn't take much time. Although, it would have been useful to have a QR code that could play a how-to guide.
I thought the seat could have been a bit more colourful and vibrant to help capture my baby's attention. The toys attached to the bar were also quite small and so high up that he could barely reach or see them.
Comfort
The seat on the Joie sansa™ 2in1 feels cosy, with extra padding and a removable insert for newborns. The straps are easy to adjust and clip into place. Extra padding would be useful around the neck area on the straps as they are thin. My baby did look secure in the seat and once safely clipped in he did not move out of place nor slump to the side.
It’s great that there are two positions to adjust the straps so the rocker grows with your child. The fabric is easy to wash and requires minimal effort to clean. The seat cover is easy to remove and replace if a deep clean is required.
Ease of Use
The seat is very easy to use and the buttons are a simple design. Ideally, the buttons should be located in a more convenient place (they are currently at the bottom of the seat). Having the buttons located higher or a remote control would allow for much easier functionality and greater ease of use, especially as a mum who has undergone a c-section, bending frequently is hard in the early stages of recovery.
That said, the straps were easy to use and I felt confident my baby was safe.
Durability
The seat appears to be durable and there is no reason to suspect there would be any issues in the future. The frame and the attachment both feel sturdy and robust. The rocker attachment fits onto the base with ease.
I did notice that the weight of my baby did on occasion pull the seat cover off the metal frame underneath the seat, which meant the seat would dip lower than normal.
My baby is quite tall and his legs were not far from reaching the end despite the rocker being suitable for babies weighing 9kg.
Value for Money
The Joie sansa™ 2in1 bouncer and raby rocker is good value for money as it offers different soothing movements (side-to-side, front-to-back), providing options that help calm babies. It also acts as both a swing and a rocker, so you don’t need to purchase two separate products. Great for parents looking for a multi-purpose product that requires minimal space.
Final Thoughts
The Joie sansa™ 2in1 is a practical and highly functional rocker and swing. It's perfect for parents looking for a space-saving option that provides a mix of swinging and rocking to soothe their baby. Its compact design, ease of use, and comfort features make it a strong choice, though the battery life and cost could be minor drawbacks.
